CERENLIB

Electron, Gamma, Muon, Cherenkov Photon Routines

History
- 1988 First routines written at U.C. Irvine for IMB.
Only did muons, electrons, and gammas in restricted energy range.
Simple PMT simulatiuon.
- 1990 Extended muon energy reliably to 100 TeV to use for GRANDE
proposal.
- 1991-92 Many tracking routines adapted to variable-step method. Many
cross-sections now sampled by composition-rejection method. Further
refinement of muon tracking up to 1000 TeV range.
- 1993-94 Used for intial design of Super-Kamiokande detector veto.
Many changes tpo light tracking routines for distributed scattering
and surface reflections and transmission.
- 1995 Added interface to handle hadrons using FLUKA and GEANT.
Used to develop fitting routines for Super-Kamiokande.
